Button Down Shirts And The Different Looks You Can Rock

Button down shirts are the type of shirts that you can wear in a variety of colors with the same pants and still look different. They are the type of shirts that, depending on their style and how they are worn, can make your outfit look chic, sporty, edgy. That is why it is one of my favorite clothing items. I believe that every woman should have at least 1 button shirt in their closet. Today I’m going to discuss the different looks you can rock with a single button down shirt.
Style 1: Chic Look
For a chic look, try a white or cream button-down shirt over a white T-shirt with some brown faux leather leggings, brown belt, and brown heeled sandals or booties. Or tuck your white shirt and partly buttoned up button-down shirt in some high-waisted, wide leg, dressy khaki shorts, a leopard-print belt with some black heeled booties. You can wear any color leggings with some single-colored button-down shirts over some white T-shirts. You can wear your shirt open or buttoned up but, for this look, it's best not to wear it tucked in for a more attractive look.
Style 2: Sporty Look
Try a graphic T-shirt under an unbuttoned, untucked plaid button-down shirt. Throw on some skinny jeans and tennis shoes for a cute, casual and sporty look. You can also keep it sporty with a long-sleeve T-shirt beneath the button-down shirt. Keep everything tucked in but the button-down's sleeves, which can be rolled up to show the T-shirt's sleeves.
Style 3: Edgy Look
For an edgy look, forget the traditional round neck T-shirt and go for a black V-neck T-shirt under an open leopard print button down. Wrap a black or red skinny belt around your two-shirt combo with some black jeans and black over-the-knee high boots. If you're not a fan of jeans, leggings are a great alternative. Get an edgy look in a crisp white button-down shirt with a black T-shirt underneath, some black faux leather leggings and black knee-length boots.
Style 4: Layered Look
The button-down shirt with a T-shirt combo is great for colder months, especially with other clothing items like a jean jacket, dress or sweater. Keep it warm but stylish with a graphic T-shirt, button-down shirt and jean jacket all opened with some jeans and tennis shoes or heels. Wear a high-waisted skirt, strapless dress, or V-neck sweater over your buttoned button-down shirt and T-shirt combo for another interesting, layered look.
